Career summary

A professional researcher with more than 14 years of international experience in different aspects of plant science. I am a conservation scientist with wide ranging interests in biodiversity conservation. My research largely focuses on the study of desert plants adaptation & propagation, seed biology, seed development, dormancy, germination and seedling growth & establishment. Recently, I have successfully completed a project that assessed the potential of using Arabian native desert plants and optimize the water requirement for their growth performance and survival in order to check their potential to be used in urban landscapes. As a team leader, I have completed a mangrove rehabilitation project in Qatar. In addition, I was involved in identifying the suitable species and producing the native plants in nursery for various clients according to their requirements (government, commercial and private).
